Milcone Pty Ltd, trading as Casa Pasta, is based at 108 Lannercost St, Ingham, Qld 4850.
We make a wide range of hard frozen pasta products, and with all the items in our range being made from natural and wholesome ingredients,with no preservatives, flavouring or colouring, this gives our products a shelf life of twelve months.
We believe in the town of Ingham, and also recognise that Ingham believes in us, through their support for Casa Pasta products, no doubt based on the fact that the town has always had its very own Italian brio, dating back to the 1890’s when the first migrants arrived here to settle. They initially concentrated on agricultural activities, including cane-cutting, before diversifying into land and property ownership, including the stewardship of the highly fertile land that exists throughout the region. In this context, it is less than surprising that Ingham is known as Little Italy, with more than half the population being of Italian stock , a tribute to people who do not forget their heritage, along with the contribution that their community spirit has played in making Ingham the town it is today. Ingham is also home to the largest sugar mill in Australia, The Victoria Sugar Mill, and also the Macknade Sugar Mill, which is the oldest. Casa Pasta also employs five local people , all of them living in Ingham.
We are situated 107 kms north of the main provincial city of Townsville, and Ingham is 235 kms south of Cairns, on the Bruce Highway. We operate our successful Casa Pasta restaurant on site, for lunches . In a nutshell, that’s us !
The purpose of our brochure is to show Australia and the wider international community , who and what we are , and what we do. It is our long term intention to develop not only our domestic Queensland market, but also by using Ingham as our base, help in the expansion of our export footprint to a world that is looking for clean , green, fair dinkum Aussie snap frozen, high quality produce, the kind we make here in the heart of Ingham, Queensland.
